NASCAR heads to Newton, IA this weekend to resume the last leg in the 2026 schedule. Iowa Speedway is a 7/8 mile short track. It was founded in 2005 by track designer Rusty Wallace and was modeled after Richmond Speedway, featuring high speed straightaways with low-banked corners, creating an environment perfect for showcasing driver talents. The Craftsman Truck series gets a second consecutive week off after Layne Riggs won in dominating fashion at Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25th. The weekend will begin with the ARCA Menards series racing in the JR&CO 150 at 7PM central time on FS1. The favorites are Max Reaves, Carson Brown, Thomas Annunziata, and Tristan McKee.

The following evening, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will race in the HyVee Perks 250 beginning at 5PM central time on the CW Network. Sam Mayer enters as the heavy favorite, having won the last two O’Reilly Series races at Iowa.

The NASCAR Cup Series airs on USA Network beginning at 3PM Central time on Sunday, August 9th with NBC Sports taking over the broadcasting for the remainder of the 2026 season. Leigh Diffey, Jeff Burton, and Steve Letarte will be in the broadcast booth. The typical names should be at the top this weekend during The Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.
